Recode the Control Module By Uber_AR

When I picked up my allroad in August of 2002 the very first mod I wanted to do was get my windows to roll-up and down via the key fob remote. At that time I didn't have VAGCOM so I persuaded Carlsen Audi to do the mod for me. The 15977 coding of the Central Lock module activated the following capability;
  • Window control with remote (up and down)
  • 1 touch unlock of all 4 doors
  • Horn sounds when arming
  • Lights flash when arming
  • Automatic door lock/unlock at 15mph

    • Things you will need for this mod:

    • VAGCOM software and cable
    • Basic VAGCOM use knowledge
    • less than 10 minutes of your time
    • Cold beer for "job well done" celebration
    1. Attach VAGCOM cable and start the software as normal (don't forget to turn the car on but don't start it)
    2. Open Module "35" (Central Locks)
    3. On the controller screen open "Recode-07"
    4. Make a note of your original coding (mine was 15885) in case you want to go back to it
    5. Enter 15977 in the coding field and click "Do-It"
    6. Review the coding data in the controller screen to confirm new coding
    7. Exit VAGCOM, turn off your car and disconnect the cable

    Now grab your key remote and play with the new features. If you don't like it simply follow the procedure again and input your original coding.

    Auto lock/unlock of doors (Doors lock at 15 mph and unlock on key removal) +32
    Add Window Up/Sunroof close, and Window Down with remote.* +64
    Add 1 touch unlock of all 4 doors, trunk -04
    Remove horn honk when arming -1024

    *Windows open and windows/roof close only when remote button is pressed for several seconds.
    **Safety Central Locking - 1 press of unlock opens drivers door, 2nd press opens rest of doors and trunk.
